Not all service providers offer the same quality of service. In our datacenter your site will be hosted on quality custom built servers with no more than 300 websites per server. This lets us provide you with the best level of service possible for your website. Some hosting providers have low prices but how responsive are they to your needs? One good way to test this is to send in a sales inquiry through their website. Did it take less than an hour to respond or a full day or more? Typically we respond to client requests within 1 hour and at the most 8 hours. Fast and knowledgeable support is our number 1 priority. I want to move my website to your servers, is it hard to do?

To most webmasters moving to new web host is one of the biggest nightmares. Moving an established web site often involves a lot of work. All the pages, scripts and databases have to be transferred to the new host and set up in a short period of time to minimize unnecessary downtime. Unfortunately web site moving is often ignored and then done in the last moment resulting in unpleasant experience. This can be avoided by planning the web hosting move.

When your new hosting solution is activated, upload your web pages, all your databases and scripts to the new account. You will be assigned an IP address from us to do this. Take the time to debug and test the new site on the IP address. You will find that you may need a couple of days to do this.

After entirely debugging your web site and verifying that all site functionality is operative, you can point your web site to the new DNS servers. This is not yet the right time to cancel your old hosting account, unless your old hosting company requires you to cancel in advance.

In the next couple of days your DNS will change. This period is known as the propagation period. Your Web site will resolve by both our servers and the old host, as new DNS information about your Web site filters through the world wide web. It is important that you check your mailbox for new messages on the new and on the old server.

Once the domain name servers resolved you can cancel your old hosting account. Thats it, you are done! Who said web site moving was difficult?

Do you offer a reseller or affiliate program?

What do i get with web hosting?

Our web hosting offer is for 1 domain (com, net, org only) free for a year with any paid hosting package. If you choose a 60 day trial there are no restrictions or extra fees and it is a fully functional account with no money down.

Do you have banners or other intrusive media on your accounts?

We have absolutly no banners or ads on any websites that we host.

What if i have a technical programming or database problem? Can you help?

No problem! Our staff has experience in ASP, .NET, SQL Server, VBScript, HTML, XML, Javascript, etc. Any technical problem you are having while using our servers can be solved by one of our techs. Our expereince in programming and web development as well as servers will allow us to understand and solve your problems quickly.
However, we will not write code for you unless we are contracted to do so.

How can you provide cheap hosting and still provide quality services?

We are confident that our services are the best and that you will continue to host your site with us for years to come. We want you to enjoy your hosting experience and not have to worry about wasting your money. Why do you not offer full time phone support?

As you know, providing quality experienced staffing for a 24/7 phone center can become quite expensive to any company and it is often the largest expense a company has. We here at NewTech Web Services, LLC decided to instead offer 24/7 email support with guaranteed response times. This allows us to take the money we save from not having to staff a phone center and put that money towards better hosting hardware and software for your websites. We think you would agree that having state of the art hardware for your website is worth the tradeoff. We also believe that we can provide better service to you via email and ticketing systems. In the event that you would need to talk to us directly we can easily arrange a time for a technician to call you.

Are there any contracts?

We have no contracts on any of our accounts. You can cancel at any time and a prorated refund will be returned to you.

Is there a setup fee?

No.

What type of servers and software do you use?

Our hosting operations run on Microsoft technology. We use only Windows 2003 Server in our production environment. SQL Server 2000/2005 database access is availble to those who request it. More information on exact software can be found here.

What type of control panel software do you use?

There are many different brands of control panel software availble to the hosting industry. After careful review we decided that there was nothing available that had the exact needs we wanted. Because of this, we developed our own control panel software to meet our needs. Not only does the system work great, but it saves our customers time and money. Since we do not have to pay licencening fees on the control panel this savings is passed on to you in the form of low hosting rates and additional added benefits. What type of payments do you take?

We accept payment via check, money order, paypal, visa, mastercard, and discover. Cash payments are accepted but we do not suggest sending cash in the mail. All payments must be in U.S. currency.

Are there any restrictions?

In general we do not allow sites whose primary purpose is file downloads or transfer. We must have this restriction to ensure that all users receive fast, dependable service. Transfer only sites put an undue burden on our servers. If you need a download only website please inquire about our dedicated and fully managed servers starting as low as $99/month.

What is the difference between un-limited and un-metered?

An un-limited service means that you can have as many as you want with no restrictions. Un-metered is the term used to describe features which we do not actively monitor and there is no set limit, however abuse of a service such as 500 email accounts on a level 1 hosting account may be determined by our staff to be inappropriate use of your account. Extra fees or a requirement to upgrade may be required. Please note that there is no such thing as 'unlimited' in the hosting business. No provider can truely offer anything unlimited in nature. If you read the fine print of any terms of service for providers advertising this you will see wording that it really is a 'limited service'. Most reputable providers set a limit and communicate that limit to their customers.

In general what limits do you place on your services?

This would include but is not limited to the following:

For shared hosting we do not allow Websites that continually generate more than 3 gigabytes of bandwidth per 24 hour day. (90 gigabytes per month) on a continuous basis (regardless of plan limit). Maximum monthly data transfer is meant to protect you from 1 time overages charge due to traffic spikes.
Websites running scripts or forums that abuse CPU usage.
Websites with more than 100 pop3 email accounts

Our goal is to provide all users with quality, worry free, and no hassle web services. In order to provide the level of services that everyone expects at a low price we must take measure against accounts being abused. Accounts using excessive resources such as those listed above will be required to move to a dedicated server or another shared server at a higher monthly cost. Do you allow adult sites?

We do allow LEGAL adult content on websites. We do not allow 100% adult/porn based websites whose primary purpose is the distribution of adult content. By hosting such a site on our network you will be in direct violation of our terms of service. We also do not tolerate hate/racism/terrorist sites on our servers. NOTE: This policy has changed as of 11/1/2004.

Do you have phone support?

Yes and No. We offer limited support via phone. In order for us to keep costs low we do not offer 24/7 phone support. We do however offer free support via email which is often faster and easier than by phone. Support via phone can be arranged by sending us an email and we will setup a time to have a technician answer your call.

What is a Domain name?

A domain name is a way to identify and locate computers and resources connected to the Internet. No two organizations can have the same domain name.

Every company or organization that wants to be on the internet will register a domain name for use as their on-line identity or name that clients (customers, all internet users) will use to access on-line services such as the organization's website or email system. For example, Verio registered the domain name VERIO.NET, so users on the internet can access our website (and order services, etc) at WWW.VERIO.NET and send email to Verio employees at username@VERIO.NET. Much like a company's name, logo, or 800 number, a domain name has marketing value when customers can easily remember and associate it with the organization. Since over 11 million domain names have already been registered world-wide, it can be difficult to find a good domain name. There are several tools available online to assist in finding a name. We are also available is assist you in finding a domain for your website.

How can I get my own Domain name?

We recommend that you find an available domain name via our domain registration page. Once you find a name we can register it for you for only $15/year.

How do I set up a Web Site?

The process can be broken into 3 stages.

1) Choose and secure a domain name. We can help you find the right name and take care of the registrations.

2) Find a company to host your website - Obviously that is what we are here for. Next you will want to choose a plan to meet the needs of your website. If you are insure we can consult with you to best meet your needs.

3) Build your website - There are 3 ways you could build your website.

A) Buy a program like Microsoft Frontpage, Adobe GoLive or Macromedia Dreamweaver learn how to use the program and build your own website.

B) Get a webhosting plan that includes and online web site authoring tool. These kind of tools are limited usually by the amount of pages and design they can create but they can at least get your started. NewTech Web Services offers a product like this that will copy premade web designs into your hosting account.

Can you help me get my domain name and setup a website?

Yes. We can help you from start to finish, from finding a domain name to getting the site running live on the Internet we can help you achieve your initiatives.

Do you allow file download only sites?

Yes and No. We do not allow file download only sites on our shared servers. These sites cause an undue burden on resources and can make other websites respond slowly. It is OK to have some file downloads available, as this is a normal activity, it's websites who's primary purpose is offering large downloads that we do not allow. If you would like to have a file download only website please contact us about setting up a dedicated server with dedicated bandwidth.
